For our 10th anniversary, my better half completely surprised me with a "vanniversary" present. Not only was this a well-kept secret, but I cannot stress exactly how surprising it was. Sunday we aired out the van and straightened it up for the weekend trip, and on Friday I still had no idea it had been changed until I popped open the top. The entire weekend I was still stunned when I'd catch a look at the van. Turns out it took 6.5 hours hidden in the middle of the day on Tuesday to make this turn-around happen. All images except the before and after were taken during the secret-elf work, and I didn't see them until post-popping-the-top.

future pain

ingenious wood holders
coming down
one side down...
lefty-loose-y
say aaahhhhh.... my god
slipping into something more comfortable
ripples
glimpse of the future
same glimpse, other side
down the middle
getting it together
double check that other side...and...
