This was a star bus at Wheels and Wings 2006. Obviously it attracted tons of attention from our party.
The van behind what is not my Karmann Ghia, unfortunately. We were the tail end of the VW caravan to Wheels and Wings 2006 (brought to you by Motorbooks.com!) in Osceola Wisconsin.
that's the van, sailing the "2.6-mile trip over crystalline waters to the Town of LaPointe, on Madeline's southern shore." (quote courtesy the madeline island chamber of commerce, ferry ride courtesy madferry.) i should note that light is coming from the ferry, and not from some hopped up mod i managed for that little stock interior light in the westy. also note there's a handy life-preserver nearby.

the lower bunk seems to fine for her royal highness, who would know if there was a pea beneath the pillows, the bed liner, the dog bed, the sheet, the sleeping bag, and the thick upholstery.
even if we didn't sleep in it that weekend, it certainly was a comfortable transporter.
